The Godfathers of Gothic Terror!

Theatre of Ice är ett av dom riktigt tidiga amerikanska dödsrockbanden.
Dom bildades 1978 i Nevada, när dom skulle göra ett soundtrack till en skräckfilm som dom hade påbörjat att filma.
Om man jämför detta band med andra klassiska dödsrockare såsom Kommunity FK och Christian Death så är detta band något alldeles eget.

Bandets frontman Brent Johnson sa en gång:
-"We approach every song like painting a picture. The subject comes first, then the tones, color and shades necessary to set the mood. The actual structure of the song is the least important. We never set out to do something "different" or "original", nor do we attempt to be "mainstream" -- things just end up how they end up."

Bandet har hittills gjort 8 LP:s, 2 live album, 6 EP:s och 5 stycken "Greatest Hits" CD:s.

Trots den breda diskografien och dom orginella texterna så slog aldrig bandet igenom lika stort som t.ex Christian Death.
